The barbarity of the human race never ceases to stun me; the senseless and brutal acts that are performed on animals throughout the world are barbaric. A friend of mine sent me a horrendous email showing explicit photos of a pod of dolphins being murdered, what sort of person could stand there in a sea of blood mindlessly hacking to death such a gentle and defenceless creature? The same that would hack any animal to death I should imagine! I am not going to include the photos that tore my heart in two this morning, if you wish to see them I am certain they will be on the internet. And in reality to me words cannot describe what I saw, what they did, how those people can do what they have done, no one with compassion or love in their heart would slaughter an inquisitive and friendly creature so that they fill their bellies. I am ashamed to be known as a human when those of my kind do what has been done to the Calderon Dolphins in Denmark. “DENMARK: WHAT A SHAME, A SAD SHAME. THIS MAIL HAS TO BE SEEN. THERE IS NO WORST BEAST THAN HUMAN KIND ITSELF!!!!BRUTAL, Dantesque, bloody slaughter in the Faroe Islands, which belong to Denmark. A country supposedly 'civilized' & a European Union country. For many people this attack to life is unknown, to sensitivity. THIS bloody slaughter is an insane 'show' of entering adulthood! Is absolutely incredible that no one does anything to prevent this barbarism that are committed against Calderon, an intelligent dolphin who has the particularity of approaching people out of sheer curiosity. Some traditions just MUST STOP!PLEASE inform people.” May the Universe direct and protect any other Calderon dolphins from the same fate, and may a few more of you wake up to the mindless slaughtering that the humans do, this is just one in a long list of atrocious acts committed against animals but add it to; Using live cats and dogs for fishing bate. Skinning Labrador dogs and Siamese cats ALIVE for souvenirs and toys. Plucking live geese for their down feathers Castration of horses with no use of anesthetic. Fox Hunting. Shooting ANY animal for sport. Cock fighting. Bull fighting. Eating the brains of a live monkey. The death farms of all animals used for food. Taking the fins of sharks and letting them bleed to death in the water, ALL of these practices are barbaric, all the animals abused and murdered are sentient beings, all know how to love…………….. And above all they all feel the pain of their bloody violent deaths.... What sort of people have we become? What sort of person and do any of these things to another living and feeling creature? As I said I am disgusted to be a part of such a sickeningly violent and wicked race of unfeeling and selfish beings, in fact at this moment in time if I died today I would be happy, delighted to leave a world where the greed and welfare of the human is put before anything else…………………….

The Guest Room............

It has taken me awhile I know to respond to family and friends who asked to see how our decorating has been going.... So here we have the nearly completed guest room. The curtains still have to be hemmed, thank goodness I did not do it whilst they hung in another room prior to their relocation........
It is quiet, soothing room now, the afternoon sun makes it a warm haven to snuggle up and have an afternoon read, or nap in Blossoms case!

A Messages From Merlyn

"When one eats the body and blood of a fellow creature," Merlyn explained, "one also absorbs the energies and qualities of that creature along with it. For the blood contains the essence of what we are, be it a lion or a lamb. So to absorb these other qualities into our human selves, is to turn away from the goal which The Lords of Life have set for us: that of evolving beyond the animal kingdom of Abred, and into the loftier worlds beyond. In this light, each creature we devour sends us one step backward into our evolutionary past. Eat then, from the fruits of the plant kingdom instead, for this will encourage growth rather than decay. Why, even the followers of the Christ have a law that says: THOU SHALL NOT KILL, eventhough they have dedicated themselves to the destruction of our Druid race. So let us, uphold the living of their own wise law...... let us practice love and abstain from needless slaughter, even where they themselves do not. From this day onward you must never taste the flesh of any animal. Instead, eat of the fruits and grains which the Earth Mother offers to us without blood - for this is the way of Anglesey, the way of the Druids................" as said by Merlyn to a young Arthur

Anybody Home?

One of my crows was having a lovely little stroll along the pavement heading towards the vacant block next door looking for tasty morsels to eat no doubt.
On his way back he decided to have a look in the front room to see if anyone was home, perhaps he was just reminding me to check his food bowl! Or maybe he was just saying hello, either way it did amuse me.
Bless his little heart..........

There was more than a few gulls zooming around in anticipation of dawn..............
Orbs of light danced amongst the gliding gulls..............
It was a serene moment for all as we sat in the silence waiting for the rising of the sun.......

Your it...................

So, I got tagged by CrazyBunnyLady at http://crazybunnysblog.blogspot.com/. I have never been tagged before either so I too am VERY EXCITED! Here are the rules: Grab the nearest book. Open the book to page 56. Find the fifth sentence. Post the text of the next two to five sentences in your journal/blog along with these instructions. Don't dig for your favorite book, the cool book, or the intellectual one: pick the CLOSEST. Tag five other people to do the same. This is the book I am currently reading, hence the closest, and page 56 is the end of a chapter. Almost Night by Ann Prospero "He's a nice young man. We get along well," he said not answering me. "I'm glad you do," I said "Make sure he calls you,not me." "Come for dinner tomorrow then," Bill said. "Not tomorrow, Sunday," I told him. And now for tagging; http:/feistysashimi.blogspot.com/ http:/loveandinsight.blogspot.com/ http:/amagicalday.blogspot.com/ http:/softwhispher-softwhisper.blogspot.com/ http://www.dianeshipley.com/

Today I ................

Today I spread a rug on the grass, took off my shoes and my hat............... Lying beneath a canopy of leaves I merged with the earth, feeling the deep grounding energy of the trees surging into my body................... Relaxing even further as I picked up my book allowing my self to be transported to another place in another time............... The delicate grass smelt divine, the sun weaving its way through the branches gently caressing the ground with its warmth.......................... The astounding beauty of a butterfly as it lands softly upon a flower............................
Where the sun is, Blossom is!
With summer approaching madame's favorite sun spots have disappeared for another year much to her disgust! She has found a new sun trap right in the middle of the room, bless her. I could not see her sitting there on the cold tiles looking forlorn so I moved her basket for her so that she may sunbathe in comfort.........................

Gentle Kangaroo's

This serene kangaroo was enjoying a few moments of undisturbed sleep surrounded by its family, I love to visit this nearby park walking closely to these gentle beings. Of late there has been two horrendous attacks on kangaroos in Australia the acts sickeningly barbaric, one kicked to death the other a joey, bashed at the hands of humans. I feel personally that a popular Australian past time of roo (kangaroo) shooting is disgusting enough, I can not get my head around why anyone could get pleasure out of shooting one of these magnificent animals in cold blood, let alone bashing or kicking one to death. To be as close I get with these trusting angels, is an honor, to see the grass stains on their little chins warms my heart, how adorable they are, these ones that I visit are lucky though, I pray for all their days protected and safe to live in peace........................................

Lunchtime Treat

I took one tomato, two stems of parsley, two sticks of celery, one radish, one spring onion, one red pepper (without seeds) one orange and one ruby grapefruit washed it all then put it through my juicer...... The result was one very filling and rather odd tasting refreshment. I love my juice, I like to try different combinations, my favourite is my breakfast juice, celery, carrot and ginger,it gives you a zing waking up every cell of your body..................

Sunshine In My House..................

The spring sunshine has spread its warmth into our house by way of two bunches of vibrant flowers............. The splashes of orange, green and yellow complimenting the decor, bringing with it a touch of cheerfulness that radiates throughout the entire house.....................

Divine Ducklings.................

This proud mother was keeping a very watchful eye over her delightful brood with the assistance of her hubby at our local pond......................... Are they the most adorable little chicks that you have seen in awhile? They are just perfect, their little faces are too flawless for words to describe, they are absolutely splendid................ Magnificent nature at her miraculous best.......... As they all waddled away for the safety of the pond I was overwhelmed with a sense of utmost affection for these delicate diminutive ducklings............. As they gracefully swam away, a tiny part of me floated with them.................

Thank you Lucas............

Thank you Lucas for this lovely piece of nutritional information; I've just heard some really exciting news...... because cow's milk causes allergic reactions in so many babies (and adults), Thailand scientist Dr. Pipop has spent the last 10 years working on an alternative. Are you ready? Are you excited? Drum roll please.... it's chicken's milk! Yummy! But before you start envisioning lactating chickens, let me be clear:this is even more disgusting than in sounds! Basically, Dr. Pipop takes chicken meat and grinds it into a thick yellowish paste that is stored in tins. Parents then buy the tin and dilute the chicken paste with water and feed it to their babies in bottles. Think canned dog food--but white! And the benefits? Well, chicken allergies are rare, so I guess that's a plus. Never mind that ground chicken meat, nutritionally speaking,is NOTHING like mother's milk. It IS high in protein and low in carbs, and it's never to early to start a kid on a high protein diet (joking)! It's hard for me to believe this is real, but it is.After melamine (a type of plastic) was found in thousands of baby formulas manufactured in China (and after at least 2 dozen babies died because of it), people have been scared to buy processed baby foods. I'm scared of processed foods too, but I'm not drinking chicken milk or feeding it to my kid anytime soon. From weird to weirder...

Bless her............

Hmmmm excuse me how am I suppose to sleep on this??? Blossom was less than impressed by finding 'her' bed in this state after I got up this morning........

Thank you mummy that is much better for slumbering upon..............

Contented now that the covers are smooth and her towel in place, bless her she is such a particular little angel, to the point that if I fail to respond to her silent messages where bed making services are required she will sit on the bed and yowl until it is done! The results speak for themselves, she really is one pampered kitty. And just for the record I would not have it any other way.............

How Rude!!!!!!

This little fellow is a tad unappreciative of the food offerings I leave him........
I thought that my crows may enjoy a bit of variety to the offerings that I leave for them so cut up a nice juicy green apple for them, first I placed it by the stray cat food bowl because they adore this food. After watching them for the day I realised that they had not touched the apple so I moved it to their birdbath, considerate of me I know.............
And do you know what this little chirper did with it????
Threw all the pieces of apple over the fence and left them there!
Well I say how rude!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Serenity.............

Serenity for me is found by doing the simple things in life, such as walking along the seaside, feeling the water swirling around my feet, the sun on my back, spray in my face and the wind in my hair. I enjoy the solitude that I experience walking along a deserted beach, just me and the elements…………… I had stopped doing my daily walks recently due to one thing or another, pressures of life that found me being kept away from the seclusion of these private moments……………….. Sometimes I find myself catapulted into a deep meditative state, walking along completely captivated by the movements of my body as it walks, as it breathes, fascinated by the miracle that my body is, knowing that this is only a segment of what I Am, that I Am as far reaching as the Sun, as deep as the ocean............................. I am aware of the enchanting vision that surrounds me, the sound of the waves crashing on the shore, the wind as is whips its way through the grasses in the sand dunes, the dazzling reflections of twinkling light on the water............................

A Time For Friends........................

With the table set I headed to the kitchen to create our feast.............................. I began with preparing the desert, exotic fruit crumble................ Once I had that in the oven I set about making the rest of the dishes, vegan lasagna, mixed roasted vegetables with rosemary and basil, penne pasta with olives and green pepper, plus homemade garlic bread................ We have enough left-overs for tonight which is great, one of my little quirks is always making enough dinner for the entire street.......................................
Patch was excessively nervous yesterday whist he was eating his breakfast with good reason to! He had to keep one eye on the crow that was waiting for his turn to eat.................... Talk about grand central station, the stray cats arrive early morning followed by numerous crows. Bless his little crow heart in a few weeks he will be able to forage for bugs in the lawn once I get it laid instead of just waiting around for his share of the food..................................... Would love to have known what was going through his head, perhaps he was feel guilty for the mess he has made with the bread scraps that he and his family throw round the alfresco area............. Oh my god she is there with that camera again, ( a little blurry I'm afraid as Patch is still so nervous of humans.) That is it for another day, with a full tummy it is time for the daily siesta..............................
